Roundtable on the status of survivors of sexual violence during the war

With the support of UN Women office in Pristina, a roundtable took place in "Qarshia e Jupave" restaurant in Gjakova about "STATUS AND SITUATION OF SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE DURING THE WAR". The roundtable aimed at obtaining experiences from Bosnia through the key speakers of Bosnian delegation Mrs.Sabiha Husic from Medica Zenica; Mrs.Seida Karabasic from NGO "Izvor"; Mr.Enes Malicbegovic - Judge in the Court of Zenica and Mrs.Lejla Mahmut from Swiss organization "Trial".

In this roundtable there were also representatives of the War Crimes Unit of EULEX, Mrs. Nina Pelkonen from Finland and a prosecutor in charge for persecution of sexual crimes against women during the war in Kosovo.

Director of Medica Kosova Mrs.Veprore Shehu presented in the panel the support for the survivors and witnesses before, during and after the trials for war crimes.
