National Council exchanges experience about legislation and justice for rape survivors with Bosnia

After the adoption of the Law for legal recognition of the status of raped persons during the war in Kosovo and the establishment of the National Council for the Survivors of Rape by the Kosovo President, the members of the National Council coming from the civil society working with survivors and representatives of Institutions attended a two-day workshop in Tirana for the exchange of experiences between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo over the topic of sexual violence.

A lot of discussions took place about access to justice after the sharing a prosecutor from Bosnia made on the challenges in prosecution of cases of sexual crimes and the challenges of women to enter the process of application for the Law in Bosnia.
